MORNING PRAYER

Eternal and Everlasting Father, make your love real to me as I worship you today. Grant that your Holy Spirit may strengthen my faith and remove all distracting thoughts from my mind. As I come into your presence, create in me a clean heart. Forgive me daily. Let me begin my work today with assurance that you will look with favour on my work.

Help me to make the best possible use of my talent that you have given me. In my activities today, give me wisdom to recognize whatever that is evil, before I am trapped by it. Help me to be obedient and respectful to my teachers. Grant me the strength to resist every temptation to sin and shame. Help me to do good to someone who is in need of my love.

Make me strong, morally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Watch over all my school mates and teachers. Protect them on their way to and from school. Keep our buildings safe from natural and man-made disasters. This we ask in your name, Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Saviour and Redeemer.

EVENING PRAYER

Lord Jesus, as we leave these buildings and premises to journey to our homes, we ask you to protect us.  Help our conversations on the road and on mini-buses to be fit and pleasing to you.  Instill in us the fear of your presence and the knowledge that you are everywhere.  Know and see our bad language and unbecoming behaviour on the road.  Lord, give us the spiritual strength to keep our bodies pure and free from sin.  Help us to reach home safely and give us a peaceful and well rested night.  This we ask on your name, Jesus, Christ, our Lord, Saviour and Redeemer.
